My father, John L. Pritchett, Sr., was born on August 6, 1930, and he jokingly refers to his "fifteenth birthday present" as the bombing of Hiroshima. Dad was born and raised in Maryland, where he graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1947. Immediately after graduation, he joined the United States Navy, where he served in the avation department on the first Naval Jet Fighters. His enlistment got extended due to the Korean Conflict, and after his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he went on to serve the Coast Guard Reserves. In 1972, he and mom married, and in 1977, I was born. Dad also worked as a DoD Top Secret Inspector for the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company for nearly 28 years. He is now retired from both the shipyard and U.S. Coast Guard, and enjoys playing bingo and travelling in his free time.

My mother, Barbara A. Pritchett, was born on July 14, 1942, and jokingly refers to her birthday as "Bastille Day". Mom was also born and raised in Maryland, where she graduated from Parkville High School in 1960. Before meeting with Dad, she worked as a waitress in a seafood resturant in Baltimore. After I was born and enrolled into elementary school, she volunteered for the public school system, and eventually decided to go to work for them, where she currently is employed as a teacher's assistant at Guildersleve Middle School in Newport News, VA.

Both my mom and dad had previous marriages, and I have half-brothers and sisters from my dad's side of the family. My dad and I are into a lot of geneology research, and we have traced some of our past all the way back to one of the first families of Virginia. (Namely, the SEAWELL family.)

Currently, and hopefully permanantly, I am with a wonderful woman named Wendy, whom has also had a failed marriage in the past. (Is it just me... or am I the only one who hasn't seen divorce papers with my name on them?) Despite a few things that she does that irks me, and despite the days where it seems like it's one continuous argument, I don't see anything that will break us apart. Well... cept for my brief stints of insecurity... And, to be honest, I haven't ever seen any relationship where there isn't days of constant arguments... sorry Mom & Dad... you two did it, too...

From Wendy's first marriage, there is a son, Richard, who will be my step-son, should all go according to plan. Richard is a bright, intelligent boy, but my only fear right now is that his exuberance isn't being channeled correctly, and his intelligence is wasting away. Hopefully, during the summers, when Wendy has custody of Richard, I can help get him involved in organizations such as the Cub Scouts and so on to be able to help him with his limitless energy. Now if I can just get him to keep his hands off of my Porsche models, I'd be fine.

There is one family picture in the photo gallery, and hopefully more to come. It all depends on when, and if , I can get the money to get pictures scanned. My old scanner and I had a war earlier this year, and I won by selling the scanner. Tip: Do NOT buy an ADARA Scanner...
